It's Time For Saying Goodbye
I realize that a large majority of my posts thus far have been critical of someone or something. While it doesn't upset me that it turned out that way - it was a consequence of the obvious difference between my observations and my beliefs - I feel like writing about something that has more positive feelings associated with it. It is, after all, raining right now and since listening to a rainstorm improves my mood I thought it might be fitting to write something nice.
In a little over a month most of the people that I grew up with will be graduating from college. This is certainly an important event that is worthy of praise. So to all of my friends, in fact to everyone who has toiled for so long, I congratulate you on your achievement. A new life with different challenges and experiences is on the horizon. Unfortunately, with this comes the realization that some of my close friends will move out of state because of a job, a love, or maybe a bad nickname. Whether or not you're moving, remember what brought you there. Remember that deep breaths often help headaches quicker than aspirin. And most importantly, remember to eat your green vegetables. All right, maybe not.
I can't think of a better way to end this than to quote perhaps the best song on the topic of moving on. Saying goodbye, why is it sad? Makes us remember the good times we've had. Much more to say, foolish to try; it's time for saying goodbye.
